Storage

Keep away from direct sunlight and refrigerate until one to two hours before serving. This will allow it to be the best temperature to enjoy a slice.

Cream Cheese Frosting, Fresh Whipped Cream Icing and Cheesecakes must be refrigerated. When placing Buttercream Cream Cheese Frosting in the fridge, please be aware that your cake will more than likely pick up the scent and flavour of any onion, garlic or other strong-smelling items in your refrigerator. Please keep it away from these items if possible. Buttercream Cream Cheese Frosted cakes are best at room temperature (allow 1+ hours if possible). The cake should be refrigerated up to 1-3 hours before serving. Remove cake from refrigerator and let sit at room temperature to develop best flavour and texture. Tiered cakes take longer to warm up, so let sit at least 1 hour before serving. Store leftover cake in refrigerator. (Red Velvet, Carrot, Fruit and cakes with Cream Cheese Frosting should stay refrigerated up to 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving) Never freeze a fondant cake. Keep cakes away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat, as they may fade or melt.

Important: Please watch for and remove all dowels, wires, and support material before serving. Once the cake is delivered or picked up, all responsibility belongs to the client.

Our cupcakes, pies and cakes are considered “perishable goods” and are therefore can be damaged they are damaged while being transported.

By confirming your pick-up order you accept and understand that your order leaves Delicious Cakes in perfect condition. We do our best to package your delicious cakes securely and although they are kept refrigerated before they travel the cupcakes and cakes can move about. The drivers must do their best to transport these so they arrive in reasonable condition, and take extra care when driving as they can get damaged during transit.

MAKING STOPS:

Please advise your family when collecting the cake to take it straight home, as excessive heat from sitting in a locked car while making a quick stop at a supermarket even for 10 minutes may cause your cake to melt.

CHILDREN IN CAR:

Please make sure the cake is placed in a safe area of the car where any small children cannot accidentally step or fall onto the cake. If there isn’t anywhere safe to leave your cake please leave children at home.

OVER FULL CAR:

Please make sure there is enough ROOM in the car for your cake to ly safely on the floor. Your cake is more likely to be damaged if someone is holding the cake or if it  is piled on top of shopping and the vehicle makes a sudden stop or goes over Samoa’s many speed bumps or potholes too quickly

WEATHER:

Because of Samoa’s Hot weather it is not suitable for your orders to be left out all day in the heat as it can result in being damaged. If you know it will be an OUTDOOR celebration or take more than 30 minutes to drive to your destination, we recommend an “ICING” or “FONDANT” finish to your order so that it will stay beautiful for the duration it is on display. We are not able to refund your order because it is considered a “perishable good” so ask that you take this into consideration when taking your cake home.

Please understand that we try our best to be as responsive as we can to orders and emails over the weekend but our office is closed. If you book a pick-up for the weekend we ask that you place your small order before 3 pm on Friday and large orders by 3 pm on Thursday for it to be ready for collection over the weekend.

We are always so excited to be apart of your celebration and create delicious treats to make your occasion extra special and one to remember.
